Happy September, lovelies! I hope you all had an amazing August! I’m not sure how much reading I’ll be able to accomplish in the first half of September, because I’ll still be in Michigan with my family, but I still have a very ambitious TBR, even if I have to accomplish it mostly at the end of the month! It might be extra hard, too, just because September is such a good month for book releases. Like, it feels like everything is coming out this month.
I’m still participating in #TheReadingQuest, which ends September 10th! Also, I will totally still be doing a separate post just about the readathon and all of the quests I was able to complete. But, for the month of August, I was able to get a decent amount of EXP and HP for my character:
Isn’t she adorable? Hopefully I’ll be able to level up even more! But anyways, here are a few of the things I’m planning on reading in the month of September:
➽ Tower of Dawn (Throne of Glass #6) by Sarah J. Maas:
Like, how could I resist this? Chaol has been my favorite character (well, maybe second now to Manon) in the ToG series forever. And as much as I want Chaol to get the credit he deserves, I’m super apprehensive to read this book, because I completely hated how SJM treated/destroyed Chaol’s character. On the plus side though, Celaena/Aelin most likely won’t be in this book! On the negative side, we are probably going to have to see Chaol “get fixed” and it will feel really freakin’ bad, because SJM has an opportunity here for disabled representation. But we will see how this goes, because I know I’m going to inhale read it regardless, but I hope it surprises me and blows me away. Also, give me Chaol sexy time, okay, thanks.
Also, submit your proof of pre-order purchase HERE by September 4th, 2017 to receive an exclusive Tower of Dawn pouch to hold all of your tears in.
➽ The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive #1) by Brandon Sanderson:
On September 15th, I’m going to be buddy reading this with Robin and the rest of BB&B! ❤ I’m so excited to finally read this, and to be caught up in time for Oathbreaker!
➽ Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore:
This is one of my most anticipated reads of 2017! All of my friends are constantly recommending me Anna-Marie McLemore’s work, but I am always so busy with ARCS! But I was able to receive an ARC via #arcsfortrade on Twitter! (Thank you so much, Kendice! ❤)
➽ The Dark of the Moon (Chronicles of Lunos #1) by E.S. Bell:
This is the last book I need to read to complete my mage quest line for #TheReadingQuest! This was an August release, but I received my ARC right after that release, but I still hope to get to it very early in the month of September! Also, this is a fantasy novel that is written by romance writer Emma Scott, and this makes me even more excited!
➽ Three Dark Crowns (Three Dark Crowns #1) by Kendare Blake:
Okay, this is sort of a two part TBR, because I just recently received an ARC copy of One Dark Throne! So hopefully I will be able to read both of these books in the month of September, since One Dark Throne releases September 19th! I am a little apprehensive though, just because this series seems really polarizing!
➽ Bad Reputation (Bad Boys of Sports #1) by Nicole Edwards:
I received an ARC of this from Netgalley, and it’s one of the things I’m most looking forward to reading, just because all I’ve wanted to read this summer is NA romance! Also, this is a buddy read with Paloma! ❤
➽ The Bloodprint (The Khorasan Archives #1) by Ausma Zehanat Khan:
I plan on buddy reading this with Elise ❤ at the end of the month! We both have received ARCS for this October 3rd release, and I’m so excited to read this!
➽ The Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic by Leigh Bardugo:
This is, hands down, my most anticipated release for the last half of 2017. Leigh Bardugo is easily one of my favorite authors of all time, and I have the highest of hopes for the beautiful book that will tell us different stories set in the Grishaverse!
Also, you can pre-order from Good Choice Reading to get a signed personalized edition! (Offer ends September 18th!)
I hope to get to all of these, but we will see! I am so excited for autumn, I am beyond words. I woke up this morning in Michigan to the coldest and crispest air, and it just made my heart so very full! I hope that you all have an amazing September! Happy reading! 🍂🍁🎃

I feel you. I live in Vegas, but I come back to Michigan to visit my family a lot. The cooler temps are so much better. 😭 I don’t want to leave.

Great tbr! I’m currently reading The Dark Of The Moon and I’m nearly finished with it. So far, it’s pretty good but I think it needs more editing. Anyways, I hope you enjoy all of these interesting reads! 🙂

Oh my gosh… I have to ask you: DOES IT HAVE A ROMANCE? I mean, I’m just assuming because of the author, but I will be so much more excited if it has a good/steamy romance!
And thank you, love! I hope you have an amazing September, too! 💛🍂

Yeah, it does have a steamy romance but only few scenes because the plot is mostly focused on the story and less on the romance. Don’t worry it’s still an enjoyable read and I hope you love it.

Enjoy ‘The Way of Kings’ 🙂 I loved it and am still thinking about whether I should reread the series before ‘Oathbringer’ gets published
