YouTube recently decided they were going to change their policy on what channels could be monetized. Now, creators must have accumulated 4,000 hours of overall watch time on their channel within the past 12 months and have at least 1,000 subscribers. YouTube begins this policy for all existing channels as of February 20th, which means if your channel does not, you will not be able to monetize your content.

Because of the changes, the community has really come together and helped raise the voices of some smaller channels. And I have found some AMAZING new people that I have immediately subbed to! I’ve stumbled upon all of these channels because of the policy change (with the exception of two!) and I really enjoyed all of their content!

Plus, as part of the book community, I want to do my part to help, too! So, I wrote up this quick little post, and I hope you all will check out these ten channels! Maybe even like, comment, and subscribe! All of these channels are under and/or around 1k subscribers, and I completely recommend them all!

Alexis is a very dear friend of mine, but I couldn’t resist making this post and not including her! She is insightful and gives great critiques, she is a gamer with a very impressive Funko collection, and besides me loving her content, you’ll get cat meows in the background!

➽Frankie Reads
Frankie is back after a wedding and a new job, and I am beyond words excited! I can’t even emphasize what a bright, shining light Frankie is in the BookTube community! Frankie’s smile is infectious, and I’m just praying we might get another Prince cover in 2018.

Books AND beauty products! Oh, and the YouTuber is such a sweetheart, with the cutest pupper ever! Plus, they are so kind! I love their hauls and wrap ups so very much!

Mel picks the best books, ever and I could listen to her talk about what Wild Beauty means to her… forever. She is from Argentina, and her voice and recommendations are so very powerful. She also has one of the best videos I’ve ever watched on Magical Realism.

➽Stephs Rom Book Talk
When I found this channel, I instantly added twenty books to my TBR! Be still, my Romance loving heart. I instantly fell in love with Steph, and their Top 17 of 2017 was so powerful and emotional that wild horses couldn’t have kept me from buying the entire series off that number 1 pick!

➽Kath Elizabeth Reads
I stumbled upon Kath from Thomas’ Twitter Thread, where I actually found a lot of new BookTubers! I was completely blown away by how much Kath’s reading tastes were so similar to my own! And yes, forever and always, to people who love The Cruel Prince!

➽WhattheGemini
This gorgeous girl added me to Instagram, and I immediately had to go look at her BookTube channel! Her channel is brand new, but I already love all her reviews!

➽Musical Tati
I stumbled upon Tatiana’s channel from Winx & Ink’s BookTube Shout Outs Video, and I fell in LOVE instantly. I love her passion, I love her voice, I love her humor (she’s so hilarious), and I could listen to hear talk about Strange the Dreamer forever.

➽Sprinkled Pages
Anisha is a wonderful teen blogger from Australia. Me and her had so many similar tastes with our 2017 reading! Seriously, so many good YA books!

➽Katie’s Booktube
YA, NA, Adult, MG, Manga, Candles, and more! I binge watched all of Katie’s videos and loved them all. And like, she might be the first BookTuber I’ve seen bring up Yuri on Ice!

Okay, I know this was super short and sweet, but I hope you guys find some new favorite BookTubers from this, because I know I did! And again, I’m so very thankful to be a part of this community, and I never want to take it for granted. BookTubers do the Lord’s work each and every day, from planning, to notes, to filming, to editing, and to so much more! They make such an impact on the book community, and they deserve to be compensated for their work, effort, and passion!
