Asian/Pacific Heritage Month Book Recommendations


Hey, friends! As many of you probably know; the month of May is Asian/Pacific Heritage Month in the US! My grandma immigrated to the United States from the Philippines in the 60s. I am so very white passing and so very aware of all the privileges it has given me all throughout my life, but I am also so very proud of my family and my culture! I couldn’t let the month of May go by without making a list of some recommendations of my favorites and of books that I’m sure will end up also being my favorites! 🇵🇭❤

  3. I’ve put ‘The Poppy War’ on my wishlist recently and got a sample – I heard too many good things and it sounds quite interesting & different 🙂 I also hear a lot about ‘The Grace of Kings’, so maybe that’s worth a look as well!

  4. OMG I love this post with all my heart, thank you!! Ahhh there are so many good ones here – I spy so many I’m highly anticipating and so many all-time favs!! Definitely recommend Crazy Rich Asians (finish the series if you haven’t, it’s so good!!), American Panda and An Ember in the Ashes. The Astonishing Colour of After and Forest of a Thousand Lanterns are great too!
