Top Ten Tuesday | Books Set in Vegas

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018!

Hey, friends! Okay, so the “real” topic this week is actually “Books That Awaken the Travel Bug in Me” but I feel like I just did a T10T that was super similar with “Books That Take Place in Another Country” and I didn’t want to say the same answers! So, I completely changed it up and decided to just showcase ten books that take place in, or have a major scene set in, the city that I live in: Las Vegas!

Me, cheesin’ in Bellagio

➽ The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #1) by Rick Riordan

28187

➽ The Stand by Stephen King

➽ The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

➽ Bad Things (Tristan & Danika #1) by R.K. Lilley

➽ In Flight (Up in the Air #1) by R.K. Lilley

➽ Lick (Stage Dive #1) by Kylie Scott

➽ Sweet Filthy Boy (Wild Seasons #1) by Christina Lauren

➽ First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World #1) by Jeaniene Frost

➽ Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy #5) by Richelle Mead

➽ Even Money (All In Duet #1) by Alessandra Torre

And that’s it, my loves! Hopefully this post and a few of these books will motivate you all to come out and go book shopping with me! I mean, I know it’s technically nicknamed “The City of Sin” but we got some banging book stores, too! Okay, I love you and hope you’re all have the happiest of reading!

    1. HELLO, DANI! That’s so dang cool! The best part about this post so far has been friends telling me they live close! Also – adding to my TBR now! Thank you, love. And I hope you’re having happy reading! 💛✨

  1. Aww, actually living there?!?!?! How cool is that?!?! ❤
I always wanted to see Vegas. I think as for living there it would be too intense for me. But then again, i have no idea. It's just the impression i get from pictures, movies and books.

    1. NOW YOU HAVE A BETTER REASON TO COME (spoiler – it me) Hahahahah! The strip is for sure INTENSE, but the rest? Not near as busy as Chicago, New York, or LA! Just… more adds for porn, hahaha! Happy reading (AND TRAVELING TO ME), love! 💗xx

  2. Nice take on this week’s topic! The Night Huntress series sounds interesting. The only series that comes to mind that I’ve read set in Vegas is The Signs of the Zodiac series by Vicki Pettersson. It has been a while since I read it, but I enjoyed it. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

      1. Girl, okay, I talk about this IRL constantly. I was born and raised in Michigan, I moved out there after college, and I never though it was humid. Ever. Like, we’d go to Texas and Florida and I couldn’t believe people lived there. Now, whenever I got back home to Michigan, I just want to cry over the humidity! Hahah! It’s funny how things are when you just… don’t know? Haha! ❤

  4. YES! I love this spin on the topic. When I saw you say Las Vegas I was thinking, I feel like I’ve hardly read any books that have scenes in Vegas and then poof, your list reminded me that I totally did. And then it reminded me that I need to kick my butt into gear and read the Percy Jackson books, still. Thanks for sharing!
