My Most Read Authors

MostReadAuthorsHey, friends! I have seen this post floating around a couple of my friend’s blogs and a few booktubers! So, I thought it would be cool to see what authors I’ve read the most books from! I was actually really surprised by a couple of these, but I immediately knew who my number one was going to be.

➽ James Patterson – 27 Books
Favorite Book by Them: Kiss the Girls (Alex Cross #2)
Lord, help me! Hi, my name is Melanie, and throughout all of middle school and high school, I was obsessed with James Patterson. Or, really, more specifically, Alex Cross.

➽ Karina Halle – 23 Books
Favorite Book by Them: N/A 😎
I’ve been blogging and “seriously” reviewing for two years now, and I’ve only had one “bad” author experience. Want to guess who it was with? Lmao, okay, no shade, but I’ll never read another book by this author. Next!

➽ J.R. Ward – 20 Books
Favorite Book by Them: Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood #3)
I stan one paranormal queen, and it’s JR Ward. I actually thought she would be higher on this list! But the way she is churning out book after book, new series after new series? I think she will take that first place spot eventually.

➽ Richelle Mead – 20 Books
Favorite Book by Them: Shadow Heir (Dark Swan #4)
Also, my high school reading experience was also made up of Vampire Academy. And to this day, Adrian is one of my favorite characters of all time, even though I didn’t love the end of his spin-off what-so-ever! Also, Richelle is a UofM graduate, so I am kind of biased with liking her! Plus, her and her vampires will always a special place in my heart, because they meant so much to me when I was younger.

➽ Ilona Andrews – 18 Books
Favorite Book by Them: Magic Slays (Kate Daniels #5)
Best husband and wife writing duo of all time. Okay, so I honestly have read so much PNR in my life, but this couple just does it better. The tenth and final book in a very cherished series of mine, comes out this August and I can’t wait. I have honestly, and wholeheartedly, loved everything they have have created.

Okay, my loves! I hope you enjoyed this quick little glimpse into my reading life! It’s funny though, because I feel like these are all SUCH high school reads for me. Even when I look past the top five,  it’s all from authors I loved back in the day! Brandon Sanderson is the “newest” at spot number fifteen! I guess I just don’t binge series the way I used to anymore! But I hope you all are having happy reading, and that your current book is five star worthy! Let me know some of your most read authors! ❤️

  1. Hah, I love it! I don’t think I will do one of these posts because it would be a long list of childhood favourites (Enid Blyton, anyone?) but I love when other bloggers do.
Also, I have started reading the Kate Daniels series last week and now forcing myself to take a break between book four and five to not get burned out. I have not binged a series like this in ages.

      1. Kate Daniels IS the best. I don’t think I will be caught up in time for the last book, but if I am I will let you know. (also the fact that you have the fifth one as your favourite makes me very excited to get to it)

  3. I have never read a James Patterson book till now and although the local library just brought many of his books, I couldn’t decide what to start with as I am not planning to read a long series, is there any thing you can recommend for a start?

    1. I’ve read almost every Alex Cross novel, so I’m a bit biased! Hehe! But honestly, I haven’t picked up a book of his in over five years, so I feel like I can’t give a *good* recommendation, love! I’m sorry! But happy reading, regardless! 💕xx

  4. I’ve been thinking about it and Kelley Armstrong is probably the one I have read the most books from. But Richelle Mead closely follows. 😊 I will count all of those books as I want to know for sure though. 😊

    1. I should have included this in the post: but if you go on Goodreads to view all your bookshelves or “more” just scroll to the bottom of the page, and on the left hand side it will say “Most-read authors” and you can find out! Well, at least what you log on Goodreads! BUT THOSE ARE TWO SUPER STRONG PICKS! You should totally do this post, Vera! I’d love to see who else is your most read! ❤ xx

      1. That’s so useful to know, thank you! ❤️ I’m not sure if I have logged them all but I could rectify that (at least those I remember so far he he). I may take you on that suggestion as I love numbers and enjoy analysing my reading taste and how it has changed over time. Thank you. 😊💕 xx

    1. Awh, thank you, Dezzy! You are too dang kind! And I wish Rick Riordan was on my list! I really need to get on his backlist! I’m slacking so bad! Soon! One day! hehehe! Happy reading, love! 💖xx

    1. Haha, to make a long story short, she posted on her FB fanpage and got a bunch of people to downvote a one star review I gave her problematic ass book on Amazon! Haha! Which was so sad, because I had five starred so many of her other works! And GIRL! I’m so scare to recommend Richelle’s adult stuff in 2018, because I read it SO many years ago! But I did love it back in the day! I hope you’re having the happiest of reading, love! 💗xx

  5. Just took your Goodreads account suggestion and my top three most read authors are Meg Cabot, Kerry Greenwood (The Miss Fisher mysteries series) and J.K Rowling, so that was random. I read Magic Bites last year and those characters are pretty awesome too.
