AugustTBRHello, my loves! I hope you all had an amazing July! I can’t believe we are into a new month, but I hope it is filled with amazing books for us all! Also, since it’s officially August, which means:  It’s officially my birthday month and all book spending is going to be valid and shameless! 💛✨

➽ The Traitor Baru Cormorant (The Masquerade #1) by Seth Dickinson
In case you missed the post, I’m doing a birthday buddy read this month, too! And I hope you all join! Also, this is the perfect time to read this, because the sequel, The Monster Baru Cormorant, is coming out this fall! I just hope we all love this one! 🎂

➽ What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera
This is so many people’s most anticipated release of the entire year, and I can’t wait to dive in and hopefully fall in love! Also, I’m buddy reading this with Ju and I am so damn hyped for us both to fangirl together! And this one will come out October 2nd, 2018! 💕

➽ I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman
After falling so deeply in love with Radio Silence last June, I knew I had to immediately buy and read all of Alice’s other works! And I am so excited to read this 2018 release with Lily and May! 🎵

➽ Beneath the Citadel by Destiny Soria 
Bi boys and plus-sized ace girls GOING ON QUESTS TOGETHER? Take all my money. Seriously. I’m so damn hyped to buddy read this one with Kaleena, Ju, Elise, and Jules! And this one comes out October 9th, 2018! 💀

➽ Worlds Seen in Passing: Ten Years of Tor.com Short Fiction
I’ve read about a third of these short stories from just reading work published by Tor throughout the years, but I really need to read the rest ASAP! Because 1.) I love Tor and they are my confirmed favorite! 2.) Anthology collections are my weakness in life! And 3.) This comes out on September 4th, 2018! 🚀

➽ A Room Away from the Wolves by Nova Ren Suma
I fell in absolute love with a short story by this author in Toil & Trouble! When I found out that they had a book coming out this fall, I knew I wouldn’t be able to not request it! And I hope to love it just as much! And this one comes out September 4th, 2018, too! 🐺

➽ Small Spaces by Katherine Arden
Bear and the Nightingale is one of my all-time favorite books. It’s honestly just a perfect “Melanie” read and beautifully incorporates everything I love about reading and books! Therefore, I must support Katherine Arden in all her ventures, which also includes her middle grade debut, coming out September 25th, 2018! 🎃

➽ One Dark Throne (Three Dark Crowns #2) by Kendare Blake
I really hope that I’m able to get to this one in August, but if any of these aren’t going to happen, then it’s going to be this one! But I loved Three Dark Crowns when I read it this year, and I truly believe I’ll love this one even more! Plus, I’d love to get caught up for the release of Two Dark Reigns in September! 👑

Okay, friends! I think that’s everything! I will be honesty, and you probably saw in my July Wrap Up, that I have been on such a romance kick lately! Yet, I feel like this happens to me every summer, so I can’t pretend to be that surprised! But hopefully I’ll be able to get to these eight books and a few extra! Happy reading, my loves! 💖

    1. I can’t wait either!! And the author from A Room Away From the Wolves wrote a short story in Toil &Trouble and it was so damn good, so damn dark, and impacted me so damn much, that I had to request her new standalone! I GOT SOME HIGH HOPES!

  10. “What If It’s Us” has peaked my interests…I just added it to my TBR list now ha-ha! I really liked “Simon vs.” so seeing that Becky Albertalli is one of the authors makes me want to read it even more.

    Great list love and good luck! I’m aiming for like…4 books ha-ha!

  23. I Was Born For This is SOOOOO good!! It may be my new favourite Alice Oseman book, although Radio Silence does take quite some beating. I also enjoyed One Dark Throne earlier this year and I’m looking forward to the next book!
