I bought The Bear and the Nightingale for the same reason! I’m happy the insides were as good as the cover. One of the instances when judging a book by its cover did not disappoint!

omg i tried reading Night Film and i could NOT get through it. i really don’t get what people see in that book!! also i’m super glad The Bear and the Nightingale is on my tbr now. great post!

All of these books sound so interesting!! And I agree with the SoC thing- I’m not saying Inej is just a sidekick (I mean, she’s a QUEEN!) but I do kinda see her as Kaz’s sidekick.
