Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018!
🎃 Hello, loves! It is almost All Hallow’s Eve and I’m so excited! This week’s T10T topic is a freebie, but I figured I’d talk about something that has been on my mind, and in my heart, a lot lately! This year, I reread The Song of Achilles and Jane Eyre and I had such wonderful experiences revisiting this stories that I loved so long ago. It has completely put me in a reread mood, and I think I’m going to make one of my 2019 resolutions to actively try to reread more. I mean, there are so many beloved books out there that have literally helped shape the person I am today, and I’d love to reread some of them.
➽ Circe by Madeline Miller

Again, since I’ve reread The Song of Achilles I can’t stop thinking about Circe either.
➽ The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle #1) by Patrick Rothfuss

It has been too long, and this is my favorite book of all-time.
➽ The Fifth Season (The Broken Earth #1) by N.K. Jemisin

Best trilogy of all-time, and I’ve only read it once? A tragedy.
➽ Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher

I always say this is one of my favorite books of all-time, but I feel like it has been so long, and I’ve only ever read it once! I really need to read this and see if I still feel the same.
➽ Tithe (Modern Faerie Tales #1) by Holly Black

Consider this a sneak peak of my “Must Reread in 2019″ list!
➽ Shadow and Bone (The Grisha Trilogy #1) by Leigh Bardugo

I’m very curious how I’d feel about this book upon a reread and upon me knowing (and hating) the ending so very much!
➽ The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle #1) by Maggie Stiefvater

I honestly just want to constantly be rereading TRC 24/7!
➽ Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

I’m just curious if my thoughts would change on P&P, because it has been ten years since I’ve read this beloved book!
➽ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter #7) by J.K. Rowling

I reread Sorcerer’s Stone every time I’m feeling depressed, but I would love to actually reread all seven books, because it has been far too long!
➽ The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air #1) by Holly Black

I technically haven’t read this in 2018, and if I don’t read this in 2018 how can it make my best of 2018 list? So, soon, friends! Soon!
What book(s) do you want to reread? Seriously, I feel like my eyes have been opened and now I just want to reread everything! I hope you all have a safe and happy Halloween tomorrow! Sending you all love and spooky vibes! Happy reading! 🧛

I really, really want to reread Harry Potter! I read them all so fast the first time, and I’d like to slowly read them. I’d also love to reread Song of Achilles and Circe, because I enjoyed them both so much!

I love your reasoning behind picking up The Cruel Prince again. I’ve read P&P several times and each time it feels like I find something new to love about it. I hope that’s the same for you. Great list!

Ahhhh! Hearing this about P&P really made my day. Seriously. I reread Jane Eyre this year and just… fell so in love with it all over again!
And…. good lord, I am craving The Cruel Prince so badly right now!
I hope you’re having happy reading, Alicia love! 💖xx

I really want to reread Jane Eyre. I actually hated it as a teen, but really want to give it a second go. Give in to your feelings and pick up The Cruel Prince again!

This was EXACTLY how I felt about Jane Eyre when I read it as a teen! Hahahaha! Now I’m even more excited to hear your thoughts! 💖xx

I love this topic that you chose! I personally wish that I reread more books too.
Also, I just reread Pride & Prejudice for my Jane Austen! I read the book for the first time 2 years prior, so I found that I enjoyed the book more the 2nd time around! Hopefully you will too!
And wow, great minds think alike, because I’ve also been trying (tho failing) to reread the Grisha trilogy this year! I’m currently “reading” Ruin & Rising, tho I haven’t actually picked it up in over a month. I am determined to have it read before the end of the November tho because that’s when my book club is reading Six of Crows and I want my reread to be finished before then!
Also yessss, I want to reread The Cruel Prince either in December or right before The Wicked King releases in January!
Hope you’re able to get to all these rereads soon! Happy reading! 🙂

Yay about P&P! And ahhhh, I still need to read the Lost Sisters novella! I bought it right after it released but I think I’m gonna wait to read it until after I’ve reread The Cruel Prince!
Thank you! You too!

I love your list! I have a lot of these on my TBR (to read for the first time 🙈). How would you say tithe compares to The Cruel Prince? I’ve been wanting to read more Holly Black to tide me over until The Wicked King.

I feel like Tithe honestly won’t hold up to The Cruel Prince, but it has been so damn long since I’ve read it… I have my fingers crossed it does! hahaha! 💖xx

Ooh what a great list Mel!💞 I’m in the middle of the Grisha trilogy right now and I’m getting concerned about the ending of it all! I’ve heard some… not so great things😅 Ahh!
Did you like Six of Crows?? I’m hoping (and assuming!) that series is better haha!

I want to reread more books as well! There are few books that I have reread in my life, between those are the 7 Harry Potter books, which I have reread like 4 or 5 times, but everytime I discover something new about them and fall more in love with the series.
I have been thinking about rereading P&P soon, because the movie is one of my favorites and I have watched it a million times, but I have only read the book one time. I want to see if I like it more or less after all this time and after reading so many retelling of the story.
Great post, Mel!

Oh yes yes yes! I want to re-read ‘The Name of the Wind’ as well! Actually almost picked it up this year, but then I decided to re-read all of my Robin Hobb books first 🙂 But after that I get back to it (and maybe the third part is closer then….. … )

One of my resolutions this year was to reread more books. I was doing quite well with it but now I’m feeling the pressure to read certain books before the end of the year and I’m struggling to justify rereads. I haven’t reread Harry Potter for 10 years and I really want to fit it in but I just don’t know how!!
Rereading is definitely something I’ll be trying to do again next year, it’s so nice to revisit old favourites and remember what you love about them 🙂 ❤

Cool list! I personally didn’t love Circe as much as I wanted to but I can definitely understand why so many people love it, Miller writes beautifully. I still want to give The Song of Achilles a shot.
