December 2018 TBR

TBR12

Hey, my loves! Can someone please tell me how it is December already? Like, I hope 2019 goes at least as twice as slow as 2018 went! Good Lord! But this month I want to keep my reading open, mostly because I’m not sure if I’m traveling a lot or not yet! Also, there are two readathons I’m participating in this month: Tis The Season A Thon & ! But expect separate TBRs for those very soon!  But here are the six books I plan on reading this month, because I love my self and I’ve decided to have my TBR reflect that!

Queen of Air and Darkness (The Dark Artifices #3) by Cassandra Clare
December 4th, 2018 by Margaret K. McElderry Books
You all know these last six months has just been me reading all of Cassie Clare’s back-list while falling more and more in love with her characters. And I can’t think of a time I’ve been more excited for a book in the last five years! This is going to be everything.

A Closed and Common Orbit (Wayfarers #2) by Becky Chambers
Buddy read with Imi! ✨
A Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet might be my favorite book that I read in 2018, and I am so blessed to read this next book with one of my best friends to finish out the year.

Wicked Saints (Something Dark and Holy #1) by Emily A. Duncan
ARC – April 2nd, 2019 by Wednesday Books
This book honestly just looks like everything I’ve ever wanted, and I am slowly falling more and more in love with this author on twitter.

Dragon Pearl by Yoon Ha Lee
ARC – January 15th, 2019 by Rick Riordan Presents
Yoon Ha Lee is my king, and I cannot wait to bless my soul with his middle grade, ownvoices Korean mythology story.

The Winter of the Witch (Winternight Trilogy #3) by Katherine Arden
ARC – January 9th, 2019 by Del Rey
You all know that this series is one of my favorites of all-time. The Bear and the Nightingale is my favorite debut in existence and even though I am not ready to say goodbye to this series, I know I’m going to fall in love with this last book.

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon
ARC –  February 26th, 2019 by Bloomsbury Publishing
I want to pick this massive tome up every time I walk past my bookshelves, and it is finally time. I know I’m going to love with this the sum of my being, too.

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe

I am also hosting a readalong for this with Julie from Pages and Pens!
(And we all hope you join us, using the hashtag!)
December 17th – Chapter 1 – 6
December 18th – Chapter 7 – 11
December 19th- Chapter 12 – End

Okay, friends! That’s everything. I can’t even believe this is my TBR! I am so blessed, so privileged, and so damn thankful. And I honestly think I am going to five star every single one of these titles! I hope you all have an amazing holiday season, and I’m sending you all love and light always! Happy reading! 💙

  1. I can’t wait for Queen of Air of Darkness!!! I waited until last month to read Lord of Shadows because I knew it ended on a cliffhanger, and now that I finally read it I need the next book so i can know how everyone is doing after what happened 😟

Also, I’m participating in #smutathon too! I can’t wait to know what you’re reading 🙂

    1. Hehehe, this is exactly me! I just finished Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows and now I’m a mess counting the days! I don’t know how people waited over a year for it! Brave souls!

  2. November, well the entire year actually, has flown by so fast!!! I can’t believe it’s December already either. But omg that means Queen of Air and Darkness!! I’m praying that my copy will arrive on time – but otherwise I’ll buy the e-book on the 4th though. I’m so happy to see how excited you are for the release of this book. Loved seeing you working your way through her books in the past months!

The other books you want to read look all really interesting! Have added most of them to my tbr now, so thanks for that hahaha. I am trying to bring down my tbr on Goodreads one moment, and the next I’m adding new books to it, lol. This Down the TBR Hole thingy isn’t working out this way hahaha.

  3. OMG Wicked Saints! That book is my most anticipated read for 2019. I hope you enjoy it and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!
And oooh, I’m hoping to read The Bear and the Nightingale during my winter break at the end of the month. I’m even more excited to read it after hearing that it’s one of your favorite series!
Hope you enjoy all these books on your TBR!
