March 2019 TBR

TBR3

Hey, loves! The end of February was truly a wild one for me with my mental health, my reading, and just feeling a little off in the community. But I am hoping March completely changes this weird head space I’ve been in! And hopefully this weekend I get some Vitamin D in me, and film a bunch of videos! But, just a friendly reminder that I truly think all content creators (and all humans, let’s be real) struggle at different points, with so many different aspects of life, even though it is easy to not see with what we show online! But I know it always gets better, no matter what, but here is a typed out reminder that it always gets better, for myself and for whoever needs it right now. ๐Ÿ’—

โžฝ Patron Saints of Nothing by Randy Ribay
June 18th 2019 by Kokila
Buddy read with Madalyn! ๐Ÿ’•
This book is going to mean so much to me, and I can’t wait to pick it up! Forever thankful that Madalynย is truly the kindest and most patient soul in the world. So blessed to have her friendship.

โžฝ Wicked Saints (Something Dark and Holy #1) by Emily A. Duncan
April 2nd 2019 by Wednesday Books
Buddy read with Jocelyn! ๐Ÿ’•
Okay, I have followed Emily on Tumblr for a long while, and from the aesthetic boards alone, I am dying to read this one! Actually, I’m starting this with Joceย the day this post goes live! But my blog tour stop isn’t until the very end of this month!

โžฝ On the Come Up by Angie Thomas
Buddy read with Krystal & Taryn! ๐Ÿ’•
Do I really need to say anything? This book is going to be amazing, because Angie Thomas is a gift to the world, even though we don’t deserve her.

โžฝ The Bride Test (The Kiss Quotient #2) by Helen Hoang
May 7th 2019 by Berkley
Buddy read with Kathy and Ju! ๐Ÿ’•
Speaking of gifts, this book is truly going to feel like that. Especially reading it with these two lovely humans! Ah, I can’t wait!

โžฝ Descendant of the Crane by Joan He
April 2nd 2019 by Albert Whitman
I am so honored to be a part of the street team for this book, but I can’t believe I haven’t started the actual story yet! But I know it’s going to be beautifully perfect just based on all my friends and their reviews!

โžฝ When the Sky Fell on Splendor by Emily Henry
March 12th 2019 by Razorbill
Buddy read with Chelseaย & Madalyn! ๐Ÿ’•
I have never read an Emily Henry book, but when one of the loves of my life (who is hosting a readathon where this is the group read) asks you to buddy read with her, it is awfully hard to say no! Also, the premise legit seems 11/10, and I know my two faves are going to make the experience even more amazing!

โžฝ Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
#CatchUpOnClassics!
Oh man, after my last two classics both being two star reads, your girl is scared! But I think if anyone can change up my sad classic streak, it will be Jane Austen!

โžฝ Last Call at the Nightshade Lounge by Paul Krueger
#DragonsandTeaBookClub with Amy! ๐Ÿ’•
Oh my word, I mean, I am always excited about the books that me and Amyย pick for our book club! But this one? Magical bar? Paranormal activities? Queer characters? Filipino author? The list keeps going, and everything is completely my brand.

โžฝ Holy Sister (Book of the Ancestor #3) by Mark Lawrence
April 9th 2019 by Ace
(Thank you so much again, Alexa!) ๐Ÿ’–
I am not ready for this to be over in any way, shape, or form. But I feel so blessed to have amazing friends who gift me ARCs so I can get my tears review out into the world!

โžฝ Miranda in Milan by Katharine Duckett
March 26th 2019 by Tor.com
A f/f novella retelling of The Tempest? Please just take all my money! Also, I love Katharine, and I can’t wait for this one! I know it’s going to be phenomenal!

โžฝ Seven Blades in Black (The Grave of Empires #1) by Sam Sykes
April 9th 2019 by Orbit
Sam Sykes’ Twitter has added so many years to my life, that I am practically immortal at this point! I knew I couldn’t resist finally reading something brand new from him! And I’m all about those assassins out for vengeance, 24/7!

โžฝ Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee by Jeff Zentner
Traveling book that Julie hosted! ๐Ÿ’–
I feel like this is a polarizing one, but I can’t wait to see where I fall. Also, this is my first Jeff Zentner book, too! But expect a review for this one very soon!

Okay! That is everything that I 100% want to read this month, but I am also hoping to get to a few things that I neglected in February because of this weird mindset! So, fingers crossed that I get to all the things! Especially since I think April and May are going to be more hectic with work and with travel! But I’m wishing you all the happiest of reading! And remember, you all deserve the entire galaxy and every star within it!ย ๐Ÿ’—

And oooh, Wicked Saints is also on my TBR for this month! And Sense & Sensibility is a good classic! Not as great as P&P, but still full of awesome characters.

    1. Okay… I think you’re going to fucking love Wicked Saints, lmao! I’m 75% of the way through, and I’m seriously in love with it. And, classic have been the death of me already, so I’m lowkey dreading it… but hopefully it will work out. Hahaha. But thank you, beautiful. SEEING YOUR FACE IN MY COMMENTS? The blessings. ๐Ÿ’—xx

  5. Iโ€™m so glad to hear you are feeling better. ๐Ÿ’• And thank you for talking openly about your mental health. ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ I think raising awareness around our struggles is important as sometimes internet can be full of โ€œhappinessโ€ and โ€œperfectionโ€ and the shadows are often filtered out. I can relate to those struggles as well and do hope the sun and vitamin D will help love. Have a wonderful weekend. โค๏ธ
