The Books Under the Tree Tag was originally created by Game of Tomes, but the reason I decided to do it was because I very recently saw Pages and Pens! 🎁🎄💛
➽1. What book would you like to find under the tree this year?
Silksinger (Dreamdark, #2) by Laini Taylor! A lot of people don’t even know about this series that she first wrote, but it’s perfection just like everything else that she touches. Sadly, it will never be finished and copies of book one and two (Silksinger) are hard to find. They are roughly $40 – $60 on Amazon Market, but be very careful about not buying an old library copy (if that’s not something you’d want)! And it’s honestly the one specific book I asked Santa for.
➽2. What is the best book you have ever received for Christmas?
My signed first edition copies of The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man’s Fear by Pat Rothfuss. They were so unexpected, and they mean more to me than most things I own. I will forever cherish them. And… I was a crying mess when I opened them on Christmas day. Also, sidenote: books are truly the best gifts.
➽3. What book gives you all the Christmas feels?
I have to go with Julie and say Harry Potter, too, because Harry actually being able to experience a happy Christmas with the Weasleys is something so beautiful that I lack the words to even begin to describe it. And Harry Potter always feels like Christmas to me, even with their July release dates.
➽4. What book do you plan on reading to put you in the Christmas spirit this year?
This is a first year thing, but I’m going to attempt to read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, just because I am supposed to read at least one classic a year, and… I’m a big slacker and haven’t! Plus, I think this will totally help give me some much needed holiday cheer!
➽5. What book have you read this year that you would like to throw out with the Christmas tree after the holidays?
Without a doubt, Bad Habit (Bad Love #1) by Charleigh Rose!
➽6. What is a book from this year that you would like to place under a friend’s tree?
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, because everyone walking this Earth needs to read this book.
➽7. Challenge: Create a stack of books in which the spines alternate green and red! Share the titles.
➽8. The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear. Who do you tag?

❄ Sarah Ames-Foley

❄ Dani
